Cameron Smith

Cameron Smith is a seasoned professional with 9 years of experience in renewable energy access and sustainable development, 6 years of experience in product/project management, and 3 years as an entrepreneur. His passion lies in delivering energy solutions to remote communities and maximizing access to life-changing products and services that electricity enables.

Cameron holds a Master of Science in Development Practice with a focus on Sustainable Development and Energy Access from the University of California, Berkeley, College of Natural Resources. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Physics with a concentration in Sustainable Energy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Currently, Cameron serves as the Product Management Lead at ZOLA Electric. Prior to this, he held various roles at the same organization, including Product Manager - AC Systems and Associate Product Manager. He has also worked as a Graduate Student Instructor of Molecular Biology and Economics at the University of California, Berkeley.

In addition to his work in the energy sector, Cameron has diverse experience as a President, Consultant, Co-Founder, and Manager in various organizations, including Berkeley Rural Energy Group, Standard Microgrid, FERRES, RE-VOLT, Chevron, and Suntaeg Technologies Inc., among others.
