Cameron McCormack, a renowned Computer Scientist, Software Engineer, and formerly Co-Chair SVG Working Group at W3C, is an expert in CSS, SVG, Rust, and C++. Having studied BCompSci(Hons), Computer Science, and subsequently obtaining a PhD in the same field at Monash University, Cameron has spent his career making contributions to the Open Source community.

Cameron has held several positions in esteemed organizations, including Software Engineer at Apple, Senior Staff Software Engineer at Mozilla Corporation, and worked as an independent contractor at Open Text. He has also worked as a Committter at Apache Batik project, and Sessional tutor at Monash University. His career journey began as a Junior UNIX system administrator at Jeack Internetworking, and an ISP helpdesk telephone operator at Interlink Technologies.

With his extensive experience and expertise, Cameron has dedicated much of his time to the development of various Web platform technologies. He started contributing to the SVG 2.0 specification, leading to his co-chairmanship of SVG Working Group. His professional interests include working on new web platform features for Apple, improving Rust the programming language, and working on SVG-related projects.
