I managed the entire entertainment industry, focusing on music, movies, and television. With this market, quick turnarounds and flexibility were the name of the game. I was responsible for total account management, including corporate transient guests, group bookings, and events. Some of the hotel's most important clients are in the entertainment industry, and I put a lot of energy into maintaining and expanding those relationships. Exceeded sales goals by focusing on largest transient accounts and group business.

Sold to groups of all sizes and industries, with my "market" being determined by a list of non-performing accounts that I was tasked with turning around as well as new accounts developed from prospecting. Via focus on offering the most personalized and detailed service possible, I had high profile successes, turning multiple Fortune 500 companies from after-thoughts to regulars at the hotel. While I occupied the position, revenues from my clients grew from $0 in the last five years to $150,000 in eight months.

Group Sales Executive

Responsible for all aspects of the Banquets operation. I worked closely with sales managers and clients to ensure seamless and well-executed events ranging from bank meetings to weddings. The department had a staff of 7 waiters and 6 house people, who I managed in terms of scheduling and payroll as well as on the floor and in client interaction. While in Banquets our management team was recognized as "The Best of the Best" in weddings in "The Knot" magazine.

I worked on the front desk at Le Parker Meridien, managing the front lines of the guest experience at one of New York's premier four star hotels. While working at the Front Desk I set a new record for up-selling, providing 35% of the added revenue for a staff of 15, while simultaneously earning the most positive mentions in guest surveys of anybody in the hotel.

A member of the NBA Intern class of 2013, I was slotted into the photography department, where I worked closely with NBA photographers to get their results polished and curated for publication. I also focused on several larger projects, including compiling and editing images for the new members of the Hall of Fame and working with the league and its partners at the NBA Draft and NBA Rookie Photoshoot. As part of the internship program I worked with a team of four other individuals to produce a presentation on best practices around the NBA on retaining and motivating millennial employees, which we presented to a who's-who of NBA VIPs.
