Callie Clayton

Callie Clayton is a talented maker, designer, and engineer who is passionate about sustainable materials and systems. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Textiles from the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design, as well as multiple language and fine art studies from Brown University, Middlebury College, and others, Callie has a diverse skill set that allows her to excel in various areas of the maker community.

Throughout her career, Callie has held positions at companies such as Spiber Inc., Modern Meadow, and Maharam, where she has developed and researched materials, overseen product development, and collaborated in interdisciplinary design projects. She is a strong believer in the power of collaboration and innovation, and her work is driven by a purpose to create beauty, simplicity, and emotional connection.

As an active member of her community, Callie has also served as a Sustainability & Operations Conference Coordinator at Better World by Design, and as a Resident Advisor at Rhode Island School of Design. Her skills in graphic design and coaching have also been put to use as a freelance graphic designer and gymnastics coach, respectively.
