Caleb Omolo

Caleb Omolo is a prominent figure in sustainable agriculture and permaculture in Kenya. He is the founder and director of Sustainable Village Resources (SVR), an organization dedicated to promoting sustainable farming practices and improving food security among vulnerable communities in regions such as Homabay, Migori, and Kisii.13

Caleb holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at New Paltz, where he studied Geography from 1980 to 1983. After graduating, he spent nearly three decades in the United States, during which he focused on supporting his family back in Kenya while also gathering knowledge about sustainable agricultural practices.12

Upon returning to Kenya about five years ago, Caleb initiated a permaculture movement aimed at transforming local farming methods.
