Caitlin Pearce

Caitlin Pearce is the Deputy Director at Riders Alliance, a transit advocacy organization based in New York City. In her role, she oversees campaigns and organizing efforts, leveraging her extensive experience in labor advocacy, which spans over a decade.25 Pearce has been instrumental in leading various initiatives aimed at improving public transit services, including a notable campaign for increased service frequency known as the #6minuteservice campaign.1

Before joining Riders Alliance, Pearce served as the Executive Director of Freelancers Union, where she focused on advocating for the rights and resources of freelancers.45 Her background includes significant experience in grassroots organizing and member engagement, which has helped her to effectively build community support for transit issues.3

In addition to her professional work, Caitlin is also known for her interests outside of advocacy; she is a drummer and plays gamelan music with Dharma Swara, a group based in New York City.4
