Paul Cohen is a seasoned communications executive with years of experience across various sectors, including corporate, agency, and media. Cohen is renowned for his talent in developing communications strategies aligned with business priorities, managing crises, and issues, coaching senior executives, building and maintaining high-performing teams, and running result-oriented programs. He has worked with several elite organizations including Visa, PayPal, AT&T, and CNN.
Cohen boasts of numerous achievements in his career, including establishing PayPal's first corporate communications function, managing communications related to PayPal's separation from eBay and public listing, launching PayPal's "democratize financial services" campaign, and managing Visa's communications response to Covid-19. Additionally, he has led efforts to enhance Visa's commitment to inclusion and diversity, led communications related to Visa's acquisition of Plaid, and developed the "Value of Visa" narrative, highlighting the company's importance to key stakeholders, among others.
Cohen holds a degree in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He currently serves as SVP/ Chief Communications Officer at Visa, having previously held several positions at the organization, including Head of Global Corporate Communications and Marketing.
