Nick LaBounty is a knowledgeable and experienced engineer with a focus on the nuclear industry. With over 10 years of practical engineering and advanced reactor design experience, LaBounty has worked on various projects such as licensing development and cost reduction initiatives. LaBounty has a strong passion for problem-solving and excels at communicating complex issues to both senior management and craftsmen. LaBounty studied mechanical engineering with an emphasis on nuclear engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and received a Master of Science in computational engineering and manufacturing from Carnegie Mellon University.
LaBounty has worked with multiple organizations such as BWX Technologies, Inc. as an Astronuclear Engineer, Tennessee Valley Authority as a Senior Nuclear Steam Supply Systems Engineer, Westinghouse Electric Company as a Senior Engineer, and MIT as a student researcher. LaBounty is also a graduate of MIT Sloan School of Management, where he completed a minor in business.
