Will Mayo is the Founder and Chief Strategy Officer at SpokenLayer, a platform that provides engaging Voice experiences for premium publishers, brands, and curators, managing the process of building and monetizing audiences with digital audio.

In 2010, Will embarked on his journey to create a listenable internet, leveraging his background in computer engineering, product design, and love for sound and music. His goal was to fuse radio news and storytelling with users' personal interests.

SpokenLayer was officially launched at TechCrunch Disrupt in 2012, pioneering the idea of voicing articles for publishers' apps and websites. By early 2016, iTunes featured a Spoken Edition section with voiced content from various publishers.

The surge in Amazon and Google smart speaker adoption by the end of 2016 created a demand for quality content, a need that SpokenLayer expertly fulfilled. Will's belief in the inevitable rise of Voice technology was fueled by his personal reliance on audio due to dyslexia.

Will Mayo's educational background includes a Master's degree in Computer Engineering and Ergonomics, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Product Design, both from Lehigh University.

Throughout his career, Will has held various roles, including being an Accelerator Entrepreneur at betaworks, Founder and CEO at SpokenLayer, and Founder at AUDIOis. He has also contributed to organizations like Matter, Johns Hopkins University, Lehigh University, Goldman Sachs, Intel Corporation, and Apple Retail.
