I was responsible for reviewing clinical incidents at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre to improve clinical services. Successes include the introduction of a vitreoretinal on-call co-operative for the West Midlands, covering 3% of the UK population; and the introduction of electronic patient records for BMEC, the largest such project for ophthalmology.
