James Freedman Aponte is a well-rounded leader and expert in product management, engineering, marketing, and operations with over 18 years of successful experience. With his MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business and degrees in Electrical Engineering from The George Washington University and Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech, James has a strong foundation in both business and technology. During his career, James has managed and led teams in diverse fields such as finance, eCommerce, and tech companies like Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, Google, and currently, as Facebook's Director of Product Marketing for ads and commerce integrity. James's goal is to ensure that Facebook's ad and eCommerce offerings have quality, safety, and full integrity product experience. He's an inventor with several patents to his name, and a licensed Professional Engineer. James's passion for community drives him to serve on different boards of directors, including the Simmons YMCA and the Latin American Chamber of Commerce in Charlotte, NC, where he co-chaired Bank of America's Hispanic/Latino Organization.
