Natan Basisty

Natan Basisty is a highly accomplished and ambitious postdoctoral fellow at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging with a Ph.D. in Pathology and a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Washington. With over ten years of experience in geroscience, proteomics, and bioinformatics, Basisty has published over 30 research papers using innovative proteomic workflows to study the biology of aging and diseases.

Basisty is passionate about basic and translational geroscience and aims to have a career that will contribute to improving human healthspan. He is on the market for faculty positions and has expertise in aging, geroscience, mass spectrometry, proteomics, senescence, PTMs, biomarkers, data-independent acquisition, and protein turnover.

During his academic career, Basisty has received several fellowships and awards for his exceptional work, including the prestigious K99-recipient award. Before joining the Buck Institute for Research on Aging as a postdoctoral fellow, he served as a predoctoral fellow and lab technician at the University of Washington and a patient service specialist at UW Medicine.
