Steve Lane is a founding partner and lead financial planner at The Perspective Group, LLC, a registered investment advisor. With over a decade of professional financial planning, investment management, and ongoing advising experience, Lane brings a comprehensive and experienced perspective to the firm's clients. He studied the Certified Financial Planner course at the College for Financial Planning, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Finance, and an MBA, Investments and financial analysis, at the University of Kansas.

Lane's passion for making a difference in the world led him to craft a mission statement in 2002 that he still follows today: "To add enduring value to others and our environment. To enjoy each day by living my dream, by continuously learning and exploring, by securing financial freedom, by being humble, honest, and altruistic, and by always treating others with respect." This statement inspired his decision to leave a comfortable corporate job and start his own financial planning firm with a set of unwavering values.

Lane is registered with LPL Financial, a member of FINRA and SIPC, and provides advisory services through The Perspective Group, LLC, a separate entity from LPL Financial. Lane worked in several managerial roles in the past, including as a director at Payless ShoeSource and manager, international planning, at the same company.
