Aoife Mooney is an accomplished Associate Professor at Kent State University with expertise in graphic and typeface design, specifically in logotype and identity design and typography. With a BA in Visual Communications, Graphic Design from Technological University Dublin, and an MA in Typeface Design from The University of Reading, Mooney has a deep understanding of design principles and the latest industry trends.
As a former Instructors at Crafting Type and ISTD North America Coordinator at International Society Of Typographic Designers Limited, Mooney has extensive experience in teaching and facilitating design workshops. Mooney also has relevant work experience as a Freelance Graphic Designer and Typeface Designer for clients like Hoefler & Co., Google Webfonts, and Frere-Jones Type.
Known for her passion for design that empowers society, Mooney is proactive in explaining the relevance of design to clients, students, and collaborators.
