Niklas Mortensen

Niklas Mortensen is the Nordic Managing Director at Designit, specializing in end-to-end human-centered experiences.

With a robust background spanning two decades, Niklas has provided consulting services to a diverse range of clients, varying from small startups to established brand owners.

His portfolio includes collaborations with prominent companies like Statoil, Telenor, Pareto Bank, SEB, and DNB, among others.

As a co-founder of IxDA Oslo and a board member emeritus at the Interaction Design Association, Niklas is deeply involved in the global non-profit organization dedicated to UX/IxD professionals.

He pursued his education by achieving a BA (Hons) 1st Class at Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication, followed by a Diploma at Kristiania University College.

Throughout his career, Niklas has held various key positions including being a former Board Member at Consulting Norway with Hovedorganisasjonen Virke, Chairman of the Board at Solvr AS, Managing Director in Oslo, Executive Director, and Strategic Design Director at Designit, and roles in advisory boards, boards of directors, and leadership positions at multiple organizations within the design and technology sector.

In his earlier ventures, Niklas held positions such as Head of Digital Development at OBOS-Banken AS, UX Lead & Deputy CEO at Laboremus Oslo AS, Board member at Payments AS, and roles encompassing interaction design and co-founding responsibilities at companies like Polyesterland AS and LeaveItOut.com.
