ThursdayNights produces a calendar of monthly invitation-only events to convene the decision-makers and investors at startup and emerging growth companies from Internet, Digital Media, Software, Gaming and Mobile in the greater Los Angeles region.

While building the community of Entrepreneurs, Executives and Investors in Southern California, ThursdayNights gives back to the broader community in which we work and live. The New Agency produced the 2010 Social Media Week Los Angeles, the fall focus of a multi-city global conference connecting people, content and conversations around emerging trends in social and mobile media. With over 70 events hosted at locations all over the city, the LA conference attracted CEO’s, entrepreneurs, journalists, bloggers, brand managers, CMO’s, social media strategists, artists, activists and the technology/media digerati. The depth, breadth and quality of events across a wide range of topics, industries and causes has generated ongoing buzz and positive feedback. In addition, all of the events were tied together with the Twelethon, a creative fundraising platform in support of Inner-City Arts. Engaging a supportive community, The New Agency produced the event in less than 10 weeks with no budget.

In addition to having a chance to play poker with the world's best (e.g., Negraneau, Brunson, Hellmuth, etc.), Erick B, as one of the founders, helped conceive of and create the multi-million dollar, interactive, live & daily poker entertainment show at the Venetian Hotel & Casino in Vegas. He led the development of hardware, software and all online elements.

PR, Social Media, Innovation & Business Development – As a full time consultant, my role was to help identify and evaluate new marketing initiatives, new products/services, partnerships and investment opportunities and share insights about emerging trends across varied markets, (particularly web-based).

To extend Advanta’s brand and reshape their relationship with customers, I helped create an internal Innovation Team and then launch and market (managing all PR and social media) four of the bank’s largest brands:
- bloblive, a series of ‘open mic nights for entrepreneurs.’ As organizer, MC and promoter, generated ’09 press features in TIME Magazine, the LA Times, NY Times, WSJ, NPR’s ‘All Things Considered’ national and ABC News national (USA Today and CBS National upcoming).
- <a href="http://ideablob.com">ideablob.com</a>, an award winning online community dedicated to entrepreneurial ideas (grew the community to nearly 200,000 registered users) and generated more positive press for Advanta than they had enjoyed in 60 years as a company.
- KivaB4B, a unique cause marketing partnership between Advanta and <a href="http://Kiva.org">Kiva.org</a>.
- <a href="http://BizEquity.com">BizEquity.com</a>, a free small business valuation service. PR in WSJ and many other blogs/sites.
