Lionel Leventhal
Lionel Leventhal is a finance expert, entrepreneur, and philanthropist with a diverse range of interests. He is known for providing non-dilutive revenue interest and royalty financing to medical, biotech, pharmaceutical, and diagnostic companies. He has also helped license-based, franchise-based, and subscription-based companies in various industries, such as utilities, restaurants, and entertainment, to secure financing without diluting their equity.
Mr. Leventhal studied at Harvard University, where he obtained a Magna Cum Laude A.B. degree and an MBA with distinction and honors from Harvard Business School. He started his career as an analyst at The First Boston Corporation, where he worked in M&A. Later, he served as a management consultant and case team leader at Bain & Co., Inc.
As an entrepreneur, Mr. Leventhal founded Royalty/Revenue Interest Capital, which specialized in providing alternative financing for early-stage and mid-market companies. He was also a General Partner at Paul Capital Partners and a Vice President at Golub Capital. In addition, he served as the Managing Director and Head of Royalty and Revenue Interest Financing at Houlihan Lokey and Ladenburg Thalmann.
Mr. Leventhal is an active member of several organizations, including the Board of Managers at Salvation Portland, LLC, and Portland Depot, LLC. He was also the Chairman of the Board at MakeTime Inc. and served on the Board of Managers at CrossFit Solace.
Outside of finance and business, Mr. Leventhal has diverse interests. He owns and manages the Gladys Braun Memorial Bushwick Community and Art Center, a not-for-profit organization in Brooklyn. He also enjoys cooking, ice climbing, photography, international travel and is involved in charity work.
