WorldRemit is an online service that lets people send money to friends and family living abroad, using a smartphone, tablet or computer. WorldRemit’s service is available to senders in 50 countries offering transfers to more than 120 destinations across Africa, Asia, Australia, the Americas and Europe.In 2014 WorldRemit received the backing of Accel Partners, who invested $40 million, one of the largest ever Series A funding rounds in Europe. In early 2015, WorldRemit secured a $100m investment, led by Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV).  Working with Accel and TCV, WorldRemit continues to expand internationally – launching in more countries, adding innovative ways to receive money, and developing new products and services such as our mobile apps. Revenue in 2015 was under £30m but is expected to exceed £100m in 2018.

Bookatable is Europe's leading online booking, reservations and digital marketing company for restaurants with many of the world's leading restaurants, chains and groups depending on its solutions and services. Growing at 30% per annum, Bookatable delivered over 25 million diners to restaurants in 2013.In addition to being part of the Executive team, I managed numerous fund raising exercises including internal and external share issues, convertible debt and venture debt. This provided the funds for the company to treble revenue in three years.

StepStone provided online recruiting and total talent management software solutions.  As CFO I managed numerous rights issues, completed the acquisition of companies in the US, Europe and China and helped the company increase revenue from under £20m p.a. to £150m p.a. and became highly profitable. StepStone was listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange and we subsequently also listed in London. In October 2009 StepStone was acquired by Axel Springer. Prior to leaving I managed the sale process for the StepStone talent management business - acquired by HG Capital.
