Kendon Shirley
Kendon Shirley, a radiation health physicist and U.S. citizen originally from New Zealand, has made significant contributions to the field of medical imaging. Shirley founded Kairos Sensors, LLC in order to commercialize advanced multi-spectral photon sensors that use perovskite and graphene-based materials. These sensors improve molecular medical imaging and can ultimately enhance patient outcomes. Before starting Kairos Sensors, Shirley worked as a health physicist and radiological engineer for Arizona Public Service - APS, founder and CEO of GenX Detectors LLC, and as a health physicist for the Oregon Health Authority's Radiation Protection Services. Shirley's expertise in radiation detection and measurement was developed while studying for a Bachelor of Science in Radiation Health Physics at Oregon State University.
