Anthony Kennaway

Anthony Kennaway has over twenty years of experience in in-house and consultant communications. He is currently the Head of EMEA Communications at Swiss Re and is a part of the EMEA Management Team. Kennaway has an extensive range of contacts among the senior financial services executives as well as media, regulatory, IGO/NGO, and academic stakeholders communities. He is responsible for managing strategic and integrated campaigns by using stakeholder and media relations, social, and digital media to deliver maximum impact on target audiences. Additionally, Kennaway has experience in public affairs/advocacy, crisis management, branding & marketing, change management and investor relations.

In 2015, Kennaway achieved his master's degree in Communications, where he mastered an approach for delivering measurable communications impact and gained an in-depth understanding of digital and social media development. Throughout his career, he has excelled in corporate communications, financial public relations strategy, marketing communications strategy, team leadership, digital and social media, crisis communications, serious issue management, internal communications, and stakeholder education campaigns.

Kennaway studied Egyptology at the University of Liverpool and received his Master's degree in Communication from The Johns Hopkins University in Washington DC. Before joining Swiss Re, he held leadership positions in various organizations, including The Geneva Association, Babcock & Brown, and Citigate Dewe Rogerson. He began his career as an army officer in the British Armed Forces.
