John Johnson

John Johnson is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with over 30 years of experience in information technology. Before his current role as Cybersecurity Leader at a large manufacturer, he was an Advisory Senior Manager for Cyber Risk Services at Deloitte. John has also held various positions in the public and private sectors, including network security manager for the Theoretical Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory and Security Architect at John Deere for 18 years.

In addition to his professional experience, John is deeply invested in education and STEM, founding and currently serving as the President of the Docent Institute, a charity focused on education and STEM. He has also developed and taught numerous graduate cybersecurity courses, helped develop the CISO executive certificate program with the University of Chicago Booth School of Management, and frequently speaks at industry conferences.

John is a member of various professional societies, including IEEE, InfraGard, and (ISC)2, and has served as a program committee member for RSA Conference, Black Hat, and InfowarCon. He is also passionate about educating children about cybersecurity and online privacy and safety.
