Served in a variety of assignments as an officer in the United States Army. Primarily responsible for the management and leadership of infantry soldiers and equipment.  Specific assignments and responsibilities included:

-  Commanded a 12-man combat advisor team responsible for advising and mentoring the Afghan National Police during combat and humanitarian assistance operations in remote areas of Uruzgan and Helmand Provinces, Afghanistan.

-  Commanded a 40-man parachute infantry platoon and executive officer of a 130-man company in the 82nd Airborne Division.

-  Logistics officer for two different infantry battalions.  Created supply and maintenance programs as part of the “start up” of a newly formed motorized infantry battalion. Controlled the battalion’s annual budget of over $2 million.
