Shak Lakhani is an accomplished entrepreneur and researcher with a diverse range of skills and experience. Lakhani has earned a degree in Nanotechnology Engineering from the University of Waterloo and has studied at Y Combinator as well. Throughout their career, Lakhani has held various leadership and management positions, including serving as the CEO and Co-founder of Avro Life Sciences, a pharmaceutical company. They were also a Thiel Fellow at The Thiel Foundation, a Grants4Apps Cohort at Bayer, and a Process Engineering at H2nanO.
Lakhani has extensive experience working with cell cultures, cancer cell lines, and related protocols. They have worked closely with qPCR, Western Blotting, flow cytometry, hypoxia imaging, immunostaining, LS-metabolomics analysis, among others. In addition, they possess skills in design software (CAD, SolidWorks), programming languages such as Java, Python, and OpenCV libraries, as well as Tensorflow and basic HTML.
As a professional, Lakhani has demonstrated excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in teams. They have an interest in cool startup ventures and participate in playing foosball.
