Joost van Dreunen is a well-known academic and entrepreneur who has made a name for himself in the video game industry. He holds a Masters in Media Studies from the University of Amsterdam, as well as a Doctor of Philosophy in Communications from Columbia University in New York. He has previously worked as the global head of games at Nielsen and co-founded the games market research firm SuperData, which was later acquired by Nielsen. Joost now teaches at NYU Stern School of Business and has authored a book titled "One Up: Creativity, Competition, and the Global Business of Video Games." Additionally, he advises funds and firms that are active in interactive entertainment and is an investor.
