Julie Lawrence is a highly experienced entrepreneur, investor, and healthcare expert. With a focus on funding and enabling early-stage companies and emerging business models in healthcare, Julie is passionate about achieving outsized social impacts and financial returns. She has an MA in International Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, an MBA in Marketing from The Wharton Business School, and a BS in Russian Studies and Government from Georgetown University.

Julie has been involved with several organizations throughout her career, including serving as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Alliance for Better Health, a Board Member and Investor at Wharton Alumni Angels Network, an Advisor to Start-Ups in UC Berkeley Accelerator at Berkeley SkyDeck, and a Board of Directors member at Vascular Cures. She has also served as an Affiliated Scholar, Mentor, Clinical Excellence Research Center at Stanford University School of Medicine, a Program Officer, Patient Care Program at Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, and a Design Fellow, Clinical Excellence Research Center at Stanford Health Care.

In addition, Julie has a wealth of experience in healthcare management, having worked as a Director of Cancer Patient Experience, CyberKnife Program, and Strategic Planning at Stanford Health Care and University of California, San Francisco. She has also worked in customer retention management for CDnow.com and as Deputy Project Manager and Director of Public Relations at International Finance Corporation (IFC), World Bank Group.
