Alejandro Ibarra is a renowned expert in IO, network industries, market power, oligopoly, access, competition, and economic regulations. With a PhD in Economics from the University of Michigan, as well as a PhD in International Management and Policy and a Doctor of Philosophy in Management and international business from Tecnológico de Monterrey, he has over 20 years of experience in the academic world. He is a Professor emeritus at EGADE Business School del Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he previously served as Professor of Economics and Public Policy. Ibarra has also been a short-term scholar in the Dep Econ at UT-Austin (summers since 2000 to present) at the University of Texas at Austin, Department of Economics, a visiting professor/researcher of economics of networks at LBJ School of Public Affairs, The University of Texas at Austin, and a director of PhD in Business Administration and Management at Monterrey Institute of Technology. His specialties are in telecommunications, energy, infrastructure, international trade, and international integration. Ibarra has worked on several projects, including Graduate specialization, Energy Management, and Network Economies and Regulations.
