Employment lawPetra has been an attorney since 1982. She worked at Plas & Bossinade in Groningen, at Schenkeveld in Alkmaar and subsequently, for 15 years, in the employment practice at Stibbe. In 2009, she joined the practice at Herengracht in Amsterdam. She advises, and litigates if necessary, on (collective) dismissals, the position of Managing Directors, reorganisations and takeovers, drafting employment contracts, regulations, social plans, employment conditions and co-determination rights. In addition, she is particularly interested in problems relating to occupational disability of employees.Petra publishes articles in trade journals and newspapers, and gives courses and lectures. She has been a (board) member of the Dutch Association of Labour Lawyers (VAAN) for 10 years, is a member of the Amsterdam Association of Labour Lawyers, of the Dutch Labour Law Association and of the European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA). She is on the editorial board of the magazine ArbeidsRecht and is substitute subdistrict court judge. Apart from her work, she is also a member of the Board of ´Only Friends´ (<a href="http://www.onlyfriends.nl">www.onlyfriends.nl</a>), a sports club for handicapped children, a member of the supervisory board of 'Nederlands Blazers Ensemble (<a href="http://www.nbe.nl">www.nbe.nl</a>) and a member of the Dutch Appeals Board/Royal Dutch Skating Association Disputes Committee (KNSB Koninklijke Schaatsenrijders Bond).Petra´s practice is characterized by a swift and practical approach and she focuses as much as possible on looking for a solution.
