Rob Hayes
Rob Hayes is an accomplished filmmaker, educator, and writer. He is a Research & Writing Fellow at The African American Policy Forum, and the author of "Love for Liberation: African Independence, Black Power, and a Diaspora Underground." With a PhD in Political Science and Government from Yale University, Hayes has significant experience in researching and cross-cultural communication. He is also fluent in French, having studied French Language and Literature at both the University of Paris and New York University. As the founder and creative director of Progressive Pupil, he has worked across borders and engaged underserved audiences through his film projects. Hayes has also worked as a Lecturer at University of California, Riverside, Assistant Professor at The New School, Visiting Scholar at University of California, Berkeley and Northwestern University, as well as a Gaius Charles Bolin Fellow at Williams College. His upcoming book explores the historical events that led to African Independence and Black Power, and their impacts on Diaspora.
