Sr Manager Outbound Operations

Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Inbound Departments.
Directly manage and lead senior managers and team leads.
Direct and coordinate the department’s financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency.
Develop quality and productivity improvement capabilities to improve services and effectiveness.
Inspect work performed within the Inbound Departments.
Ensure high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
Provide technical and statistical expertise.
Improve (and/or create), document and implement procedures to help develop teams.
Maintain active role on internal Continuous Improvement and audit procedures.
Design, develop, and implement quality control training programs.
Focus on warehouse design and layout for Inbound and new business initiatives.
Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of inbound.
Review output performance against scheduled performance. Provide reports to direct management on interpretation of results and approve changes in direction of plans.
Preparation of weekly reports for the senior management team.
Develop and communicate corporate operations policy within the department.
Develop specific short term and long term plans.

- Executive management of three distributions centers. One in US, HK and EU totaling 450k sq. ft., 10 Direct reports, 25 sub reports and 250 hourly associates and a $12 million operating budget
- Initiated and reduced operational costs by $1+ million by optimizing performance and resource management across operational functions
- Managed consumer improvement programs and cost reduction projects that achieved over $3 million in annual savings
- Instituted management methodologies to improve productivity enabling the organization to meet and exceed contractual obligations and production goals
