Dr. Matthias Meyer is a renowned corporate venturing expert and the founder of 27pilots, a startup that helps companies utilize the Venture Client model. He spent 14 years at BMW, where he created the world's first Venture Client unit, the BMW Startup Garage. Dr. Meyer holds various academic degrees, including a Doctor of Engineering (PhD) and an MBA in Innovation and Business Creation from Technische Universität München.

Throughout his career, Dr. Meyer has held numerous leadership roles at BMW, including Leader Strategy and Innovation Management for Safety and Sustainability and Team Manager Total Vehicle Integration. Additionally, he worked as a Consultant Reliability and Safety Analysis at Bosch and as a Research Associate in Predictive Analytics at the University of Wuppertal.
