Dan Gunter, a cybersecurity expert and former Cyber Warfare Officer for the United States Air Force, has built a career protecting critical infrastructure from digital threats. He founded Insane Forensics, a digital forensics software and services company that provides Forensics-as-a-Service offering an on-prem and cloud-based platform for scaled memory, disk, and network analysis. Previously, Dan served as Director, Research and Development for Dragos Inc, an industrial control system cybersecurity firm, where he established and oversaw detection engineering and reverse engineering efforts to protect oil and gas, energy, and other critical infrastructure sites. Dan also worked as a Principal Threat Analyst at Dragos, where he expanded cybersecurity capabilities, and as a Senior Residential Technology Advisor at Baylor University. His experience in incident response, threat hunting, consequence analysis, and general security operations has made him a sought-after speaker and teacher, speaking at major events like Blackhat, Schmoocon, and S4. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Baylor University, a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Louisville, and a Graduate Certificate in Incident Response from SANS Technology Institute.
