Al Zollar is a seasoned professional with over 40 years of diverse business experiences, primarily in software technologies.

Having spent 34 years at IBM, Al served in customer-facing roles initially before transitioning into various general management positions within IBM's software business.

Post his tenure at IBM, Al ventured into tech investment, backing early-stage companies and venture funds while also offering his expertise as a public company board director in sectors like insurance, energy, open source software, and financial services.

For the past 8 years, Al has been an operating partner at SIRIS Capital Partners, focusing on firms involved in fault-tolerant/edge computing, cybersecurity, fintech, ERP software, and digital marketing. He is also actively engaged with PE-backed companies in IT services, data services, and media.

Currently, Al holds advisory roles at SIRIS Capital Partners and SolarWinds, while serving on public company boards like PSEG Corporation, BNY Mellon Corporation, Nasdaq, Inc., and IBM. He also contributes his insights to private company boards including Constant Contact, GCOM, and IDG Corporation, in addition to non-profit boards such as EL Education, Eagle Academy Foundation, and UCSD Foundation.

Al's past affiliations include roles at various organizations like Chubb Corporation and Red Hat Software, both in public company boards, and involvement with private company boards like Carnegie Speech, Stratus Technologies, Pulse Secure, Intralinks, and EFI.

Al Zollar holds an MA in Applied Mathematics from the University of California, San Diego, and also boasts a US Patent for 'Trust and identity in secure calendar sharing collaboration.'
