Tomo Hi de Suzuki is a highly accomplished professor in the field of Applied Institutional Mechanism Design. With a Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce, General from Meiji University, Suzuki went on to pursue a D.Phil in Accounting, Economics, and Philosophy of Social Science at the University of Oxford. This educational background allowed Suzuki to develop expertise in financial and accounting regulations, particularly in the context of sustainable development in both matured and emerging economies.

Suzuki's research interests have led to work on topics such as India's "One Additional Line" of CSR Expenditure and the impact of IFRS on wider stakeholders in Japan, which have been published as official policy papers by government organizations. Suzuki is actively recruiting PhD students and research assistants to contribute to ongoing research and implementation of new frameworks and schemes for sustainable growth in South Eastern Asian countries, Brazil, China, and other regions of the world.

Suzuki has held teaching positions at the University of Oxford, where he was a Professor of Accounting and Sustainability Management, and is currently the Chief Economist and Professor at Oxford Institutional Mechanism Design. With a focus on comprehensive stakeholder analysis and structured negotiation, Suzuki is dedicated to developing and implementing impactful solutions in collaboration with politicians, government officials, stock exchanges, business federations, universities, and international organizations.
