Jaime Ashander
Jaime Ashander is an experienced ecologist and environmental data scientist, who specializes in the study of complex dynamics across human-influenced environments. Holding a Ph.D. in Population Biology from the University of California, Davis, Jaime has a profound understanding of socio-environmental systems. In addition, she also holds a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Alberta, which has helped her develop various computational, mathematical, and statistical methods necessary to inform management and decision-making in various areas. Jaime has worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Resources for the Future, a Certified Instructor in Data Carpentry and Software Carpentry at the Software Carpentry Foundation, and a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles. Jaime's main objective is to improve stewardship of knowledge and data and help environmental scientists learn modern tools and workflows for reproducible research.
