Orion Buckminster Montoya
Orión Montoya is a computational linguist and software engineer with a passion for studying language as a symbolic system. With a Master's Degree in Computational Linguistics from Brandeis University and an A.B. in Classics from the University of Chicago, Orión has a deep understanding of both the ancient roots and modern applications of language. They have worked at various organizations, including Textio and MDCCLV, as an engineering manager, senior software engineer, and consulting computational lexicographer. Orión is also a co-founder of Wordnik, a computational lexicography company, and has worked as a data and resources development editor for dictionaries at Oxford University Press. Their experience in software engineering and linguistic analysis has led them to explore the connection between language and computation, using the latter to better understand the former.
