Lailin Chen
Lailin Chen is a seasoned professional with a background in designing and developing a variety of systems, including OS kernel drivers, distributed online systems, and large-scale machine learning pipelines.
His recent focus has been on deep learning, covering aspects from model design to training data auto labeling and large-scale deployment, managing billions of images per day.
With a strong expertise in optimization, Lailin has improved numerous models through compute graph re-organization and low-level optimizations on various platforms like x86_64, ARM, Nvidia, and embedded accelerators.
His career has seen him work at prestigious organizations such as Apple, Amazon as a Principal Engineer in Core AI, Dropbox, Microsoft, and Sun Microsystems, where he has held roles ranging from Software Engineer to Sr. Software Dev Engineer.
He also contributed as a Research Assistant at Idaho State University and held a position as a Technical Support Engineer at NTT DATA Beijing.
Lailin is a Master of Science graduate in GIS from Idaho State University, and throughout his journey, he has been involved in team-building, mentorship, and inspiration of others in the field.
