Rui Chen is a distinguished research scientist and engineering director at Samsung Research America, where she focuses on cutting-edge techniques in production-scale deep/machine learning platforms and algorithms. Her work centers on developing practical applications, including digital advertising, personalized recommendation, natural language understanding, and user profiling. Chen has extensive experience and valuable contributions to the field of data privacy protection in real-world settings.

Chen completed her Bachelor of Engineering at Xi'an University of Technology and went on to study at Concordia University, where she earned her Master's and Ph.D. Chen later became a postdoctoral fellow at the University of British Columbia and a research intern at Inria. She was also a former research assistant professor at Hong Kong Baptist University, where she focused on machine learning and natural language processing.
