Allison Porman Swain, Ph.D.
Allison Porman Swain, Ph.D. is a skilled molecular biologist with a passion for pioneering new discoveries in the field. She holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, and Biochemistry from Brown University, where she also worked as a TA for Advanced Biochemistry Laboratory. Prior to her doctoral studies, Swain obtained a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from Lehigh University, where she was an undergraduate researcher. Her postdoctoral work at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus focused on molecular biology and genetics.
Swain has experience as a lecturer, course instructor, and educational program director at the University of Colorado Denver. Additionally, she has worked as a farmhand and harvest team manager at rFarm2 and as an intern and logistics specialist at Grant Farms CSA.
