Ryan Hurd is a well-educated and diverse professional who has dedicated his career to the exploration and study of dreams, visions, and imagination. He holds an MA in Consciousness Studies from John F. Kennedy University, a BA in Anthropology - Archaeology from The University of Georgia, and has studied Creative Writing at Eckerd College. Additionally, he has worked as a field archaeologist and a library assistant, furthering his knowledge and experience outside of his primary field of interest.
Hurd's passion for his work is evident from the extensive list of organizations he has been a part of. He has been a Director of Spiritual Development at the Unitarian Society of Germantown and a Lecturer at John F. Kennedy University, as well as a member of various associations related to his professional expertise, including the Society for the Anthropology of Consciousness and the International Association for the Study of Dreams. He has also provided his services as a Lucid Dreaming Advisor at SHADOW - Community of Dreamers and a content consultant at Zeo.
Hurd is also known for his literary pursuits. He formerly owned Dream Studies Press, where he published and edited works related to dreams and dreaming culture. He has also contributed to The Dream Tribe, a blog that focuses on dream interpretation and lucid dreaming.
With his extensive knowledge and experience, Ryan Hurd continues to strive towards a new dreaming culture that incorporates modern and traditional ways of knowing.
