Burt Hamner

Burt Hamner is a leading sustainability and clean tech entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in over 20 countries. His expertise in helping industry and government implement clean technologies and policies has made him a sought-after consultant for organizations like the World Bank, UN, US Agency for International Development, and Asian Development Bank.

In 2008, Hamner founded a clean energy company that made hydrokinetic turbines, and raised over $3 million in impact investing. This entrepreneurial spirit propelled him to start a new venture, Hydrobee SPC, to create sustainable solutions for personal clean energy generation. Their innovative products, like the thermo-electric generator for stove chimneys, have won awards and global recognition, including being named the Global Top 30 startups by the Global Cleantech Clusters Association.

As an advocate for sustainable innovation and impact investing, Hamner also organizes the Seattle Clean Energy Meetup and Seattle Impact Investing Meetup, which have over 2000 members combined.
