Brought in to support transition from R&D prototyping to serial production operation. Specialized in project management, process improvement, supplier development, vendor management, and strategic sourcing for critical propulsion components for Falcon 9 rocket.

Space Exploration Technologies

Key Results:

•Assigned to recover dire program with key strategic partner that was previously at 0% on-time delivery. Increased on-time delivery to 86% within 5 months by creating standard production release schedule, aligned process owners with new production flow, decreased batch lot sizes, and partnered with key suppliers to increase capacity allocation. Resulted in additional business awards and value added scope increases on existing projects valued at $20M.

•Created standard process and documentation for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects as part of kaizen team. Researched previously failed launches, unearthed process issues, gaps, and failure points to design new process flow and developed new tools for tracking and management reporting.  

•Promoted by Business Unit Manager of cold-formed product line to Lead. Responsible for day to day team leadership, reporting, and representative for business unit.

Ducommun Aerostructures

Key Results: 

•Strong history of increasing responsibility and higher-level duties. Began with 3 program contracts valued at $10 million in annual sales. Multiple promotions earned, achieving site manager responsible for program contracts valued at $124 million in annual sales and supervision of team of 4.

•Effectively defended $6 million breach of contract claim brought against Zodiac.  Raised and negotiated counter claim against claimant. Resulted in $700k payment to claimant and $3 million counter claim payment victory for Zodiac.

•Re-negotiated shipset price for unprofitable program to claim cost drivers due to scope creep and unclaimed additional content. Resulted in 23% price increase per shipset and turned program profitable.   

•Trained and mentored 2 contracts administrators to successful promotion to contracts managers. 

•Investigated, implemented and sustained systematic improvements to business inventory and demand planning activities as part of LEAN Partnership Initiative. Effectively reduced program inventory by 18%.

•Achieved in-demand status as contracts department member, resulted in specific request to move to in need program and promotion to contracts manager.
