Bruce Horwitz is a highly experienced technologist who founded TechRoadmap in 2000 to assist companies in navigating the complexities of intellectual property, specifically bridging the gap between engineers and patent attorneys.

Having retired, Bruce remains actively engaged in supporting start-ups in understanding the world of patents, leveraging his extensive knowledge and expertise acquired over the years.

TechRoadmap offers part-time and outsourced services for companies that do not require a full-time Director of Intellectual Property but need specialized assistance in strategic and tactical IP management, identifying patentable assets, and securing patents.

Bruce Horwitz holds a Ph.D. in Optics from the University of Rochester and a Sc.B. in Physics from Brown University, showcasing his strong educational background in technical fields.

Throughout his career, Bruce has held significant positions including being the owner of TechRoadmap Inc., Director of Optical Technology at AXSUN, VP of R&D at MicroE Systems (now part of GSI Group), and has had various roles at Itek Optical Systems.
