Brooke Pereira

Brooke Pereira is a highly educated professional with a diverse academic background spanning from Physiology to Materials Engineering and eventually specializing in Oncology and Cancer Biology through her Ph.D. studies at Monash University.

Brooke's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology followed by a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Materials Engineering, where she excelled and earned First Class Honours.

Driven by a passion for research and academia, Brooke further pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Oncology and Cancer Biology, showcasing her commitment to advancing the field of medical research.

Alongside her extensive academic achievements, Brooke has gained practical experience through various roles, including being a Postdoctoral Research Officer at the prestigious Garvan Institute of Medical Research and serving as a Teaching Associate at Monash University.

Prior to her current role, she contributed to research projects as a PhD Candidate and Research Assistant at Monash University, demonstrating her dedication to hands-on scientific exploration.

Moreover, Brooke has expanded her expertise by engaging in the Summer Research Scholarship program at the Australian Centre of Blood Diseases, further highlighting her multidisciplinary approach to research and learning.
