Briar McKenzie is a dedicated PhD candidate and research assistant at The George Institute for Global Health, specifically working in the Office of the Chief Scientist. Her primary focus is on supporting research endeavors within the Public Health Advocacy and Policy Impact team, along with contributing to the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre on Population Salt Reduction. Briar initiated her PhD journey in 2018 at the University of New South Wales, where she was awarded a prestigious Scientia PhD Scholarship. Her doctoral research centers on evaluating gender inequalities in dietary patterns and the associated risk factors and consequences of non-communicable diseases.
