Brian Stewart is a highly experienced journalist, public relations professional and media relations strategist. He is currently the Director of Media Relations and Communication Management at MoveOn.org Political Action, where he oversees media strategies, advises communications and media tactics for organizing campaigns and events, and coordinates rapid response work. Previously, he served as Communications Director at Generation Progress, the youth outreach arm of the Center for American Progress in Washington, D.C. and also as Editor In Chief for The Daily Iowan, where he frequently traveled across the state to discuss the state of the journalism industry and local issues with various groups. With degrees in Journalism, English, and American Studies from the University of Iowa, Brian is passionate about the First Amendment, food, politics, public speaking, Saturday Night Live, and Kristen Wiig.
