Brian Shepard

Brian Shepard is the CEO and Founder of 7 Cheetahs Trading Inc., a company he started in 2019 that builds next-generation quantitative trading algorithms.1 He has a deep passion for financial markets and extensive experience in building technology companies.1

Prior to founding 7 Cheetahs, Shepard was the CEO of Tenzing Managed IT Services, which he grew from a modest web hosting company established in 2002 into a rapidly growing managed hosting company serving SaaS and Ecommerce providers.1 Under his leadership, Tenzing ranked among Canada's fastest-growing IT companies.1

Shepard majored in Computer Science and Economics at Brock University.1 He combines his technical background with his interest in financial markets to develop advanced trading software.2 His company, 7 Cheetahs Trading, focuses on creating fully automated day-trading algorithms that leverage data science and machine learning methodologies.12

In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures, Shepard acts as a mentor for up-and-coming entrepreneurs, having helped over a dozen develop and scale their start-ups.1 He is based in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada.1
