Brian Schmidt is a former event producer turned environmentalist and entrepreneur, focused on the potential of ocean technology to combat climate change and support sustainability. With a Bachelor of Science in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Auburn University, Schmidt has channeled his strategic and logistical expertise into founding Primary Ocean, a company dedicated to mass-scale seaweed cultivation and refinement for a range of eco-friendly products. Before this, he co-founded Green Disco, served as Festival Operations Manager for Coalition Entertainment, and worked in various roles in the event production industry.

Schmidt is also a believer in justice, unified collaboration between governments and people, and the power of technology to support a more abundant and equitable world. He is an advocate for sustainable practices and the end of the military-industrial complex, and has interests in organic products ranging from proteins to biofuels to bioplastics.
