Director, Advisory - Risk & Regulatory

Developed executed cross-functional strategies, working with the Chief of Staff, CFO and other functional leaders
•   Developed strategic plans for new ventures and transformation of existing operations.  Strategic plans encompassed: strategic objectives, opportunity assessment, risk assessment, financial models and plans for implementation and monitoring.
•   Led the development of comprehensive project plans to implement strategic initiatives.  Achievements included over $130 million of value delivered, primarily through cost savings on purchased products and services.
•   Collaborated to launch a new commercial venture focused on delivering value to members by employing progressive sourcing approaches.  Achieved significant cost reductions for supplies and purchased services, while maintaining positive patient outcomes.
•   Created Clinical Incentive Program to increase physician participation in savings initiatives, resulting in improved negotiating positions and greater cost savings.
•   Identified, assessed and developed approaches to address new and emerging business risks.
•   Negotiated membership contracts, including business and legal terms.
•   Provided finance leadership during Director of Finance position vacancy.
•   Spearheaded departmental participation in mission focused programs, including military residency program and Baltimore City high schools summer jobs program.

Johns Hopkins Medicine

Director, Development & Risk, Johns Hopkins Health System, Enterprise Supply Chain

Concurrently managed multiple projects for this internal consulting organization. Developed business plans to support executive sponsors in evaluating new business and expansion opportunities, and facilitating go/no go decisions.
•   Identified, evaluated and developed approaches to mitigate risks associated with new business and expansion opportunities.
•   Led teams in the development of system-wide policies and communications to stakeholders across the health system.

Financial Analysis Unit

Led the strategic growth and management of the Baltimore/Washington Metro practice, including client relationship management, business development, solution development, knowledge sharing, recruiting, staffing, staff development and team building.
•	Enhanced Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk Management functions for domestic and multi-national clients.
•	Created Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) programs for pre-IPO clients, and improved the efficiency and effectiveness of existing SOX programs for post-IPO clients.

•	Led consulting engagements in a variety of areas, including process improvement, internal controls optimization, fraud prevention/detection, vendor management and contract compliance.
