Brian Raymond is a seasoned professional in national security and technology, currently serving as the Vice President of the National Security Group at Primer.ai. He has a diverse background that includes significant roles in government, investment banking, and the tech industry.

Education and Early Career

Brian earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Political Science from the University of California, Davis, and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. He began his career as an Intelligence Officer with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) from 2009 to 2014, where he was involved in drafting assessments for senior U.S. officials and participated in counterterrorism operations, including two tours in Iraq.

Government Service

Following his tenure at the CIA, Brian served as the Director for Iraq on the National Security Council under President Obama from 2014 to 2015. In this role, he advised high-level officials on foreign policy issues related to Iraq and ISIS, coordinated U.S. military and humanitarian missions, and played a key role in forming the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL.

Transition to the Private Sector

After his government service, Brian transitioned to the private sector, working in investment banking at Harris Williams & Co. from 2016 to 2018.
