Brian Pontarelli

Brian Pontarelli is a technology entrepreneur and the Founder and CEO of FusionAuth, a customer identity and access management platform. He has been leading FusionAuth since its inception in September 2018, focusing on providing developers with tools for user authentication and management, including features like login, registration, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and single sign-on (SSO) capabilities. FusionAuth is designed to be easily installed on various systems, allowing companies to manage their identity solutions without relying on multi-tenant cloud services.145

Before founding FusionAuth, Pontarelli also established CleanSpeak in 2005, which is an on-premise profanity filter and moderation platform. His extensive background in software development includes roles at several companies, such as Orbitz and BEA Systems, where he contributed to significant architectural projects.124

Pontarelli holds a degree in computer engineering from the University of Colorado and has been actively involved in the tech community, serving as the Sponsorship Committee Chair for Denver Startup Week from 2013 to 2017.456 His passion for coding began at a young age, and he continues to engage in software development alongside his executive responsibilities.34
